Market Readiness Assistance Grant (MRA Grant)
In specifically supporting regional or global expansion plans, the MRA grant in Singapore aids in 70% of the costs of activities for SMEs who wish to venture overseas. Other than financial assistance, businesses will also receive support in knowledge and information in their key market interests such as search engine marketing (SEM), global e-commerce directory listings for boosting your business’ visibility, as well as web-based advertising.
The MRA grant will provide support in any one activity (i.e. market entry, participating in a trade fair) per application, and eligible SMEs are allowed a maximum of two applications per fiscal year ( from 1 April to 31 March the following year).
The following criteria must be met for a business to be eligible for the MRA grant application:
- A registered business operating in Singapore
- Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding (for selected solutions only)
- Have the company’s group annual sales turnover of not more than S$100 million; or employment size of not more than 200 workers
An EDG consultant in Singapore or an MRA grant consultant appointed by SPRING Singapore (now known as Enterprise Singapore), a government body supporting enterprise development, is highly capable of providing professional advice for businesses looking to grow their operations, either in terms of productivity, innovation or overseas business developments.
